How can I purchase Canadian Oil Sands shares?
To purchase COS shares you must do so through a brokerage service provider. COS cannot provide investment advice or act as a financial advisor.
Does COS have a dividend reinvestment program (DRIP)?
The DRIP is currently suspended.
We institute the DRIP from time to time as a cost-effective means to raise equity and strengthen our balance sheet during periods of higher financial obligations or economic challenges. Currently, we do not need the DRIP to support our financial plan and the economic environment is relatively stable. As a result, we believe it is in the best interests of our shareholders to suspend the DRIP.
The last time the DRIP was reinstated was in the first quarter of 2009; it was suspended in July 2009. Under the current rules, we have the flexibility to reinstate the DRIP in the future. Reinstatement of the DRIP would be announced via press release. To sign up to receive COS press releases, click here.
